I have been suffering from severe joint and bone pain for the last 1 year and was struggling to get diagnosed via my GP. I decided to go for private consultations with Dr Ashok and I am so glad I did. She was very engaging and attentive to my problem and proactively requested my blood tests and xrays. As a result, I now have been diagnosed and given appropriate medication. I can't comment on the effectiveness of the medication yet as I have only just started taking it but I trust that having a treatment plan will eventually address my problem. I have had a great experience with Dr Ashok and would definitely go back if I needed to.

Dr Ashok listened carefully to all I had to say and did not interrupt....I felt she empathised totally with how I was feeling and could explain clearly why I was feeling so ill. She clearly explained all treatment options and how, if one didn’t work, there was always something else we could try. She has been my lifeline in regaining a quality of life .

I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist since 2008 and have broad experience in the diagnosis of all musculo-skeletal rheumatic conditions. My priority as a specialist is to ensure an accurate diagnosis so that I can provide patients with accurate information about their condition and early management. I have extensive experience in the provision of soft tissue and joint injections for the relief of pain and inflammation and have a particular interest in managing early inflammatory arthritis. I was leading the Early arthritis service in my previous NHS Trust.
Over the years of consultant experience, I have performed a vast number of soft tissue and joint injections for the relief of pain and inflammation.
I was appointed to the Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust in July 2017 as a substantive Consultant Rheumatologist.
Before moving to Chelmsford, for 9 years I was a substantive Consultant Rheumatologist at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, Durham.
